Overview
The American, European and Australian goverments, and most western states wish to limit
the number of people immigrating to their countries from countries which have poor
economic conditions. They will not issue simple tourists visas to
ummarried ladies from the former USSR in order to prevent people coming to the west
in search of a husband and a better life.
Despite the fact that most of the ladies from the former USSR are very highly skilled and
there is a huge skills shortage in the west, the attitude of the western goverments remain
the same. For our male clients, in search of a wife from the former USSR, this means you
must be prepared to travel to the former USSR to meet the ladies
and spend such time as to know if they wish to marry her or not.
The only way you can bring the lady back to the west, is to
apply for a fiancee or spouse visa. This is the only way the western governments will
allow these ladies to come to your country.
Although the visa requirements are actually the same for each embassy (they are defined
by what country you come from), they are interpreted and implemented differently, depending
on which country you and your wife to be are in.

Applying for a visa for a lady
The requirements for a visa are fairly much the same from embassy to embassy. You may be required to produce original
document showing the following, so you should take these with you when traveling to see a lady if you thin you might
wish to apply for a fiancee or spouse visa (K1 in US):
Proof of income - Bank statements, Salary Slips, Letter from employer.
Proof of relationship - Letters, Photos of the two of you together, Phone bills, Proof of previous visits.
Proof of address - Mortgage/Rental documents, Property Tax bills, Utility bills.
Proof of citizenship - Passport
Applications for a visa should be taken very seriously and not approched lightly. If an application is turned down,
then a stamp is added to the ladies passport and it is then several times harder to get
a visa. Simply not supplying the correct paperwork can result in her being turned down. The visa application fee
is non refundable.
When a lady applies for a visa, if you can, go with her to the embassy. Where as most people in the west are used
to officals and know our rights, people in the former USSR are used to accepting what they are told by officials.
Documents must usually be submitted several days, to several weeks before the lady will be called to interview. If
you are not able to attend the interview with her, then it is VERY IMPORTANT that you
phone the embassy on the day of her interview and speak to the officer dealing with her case. If she is refused a
visa, she will need you sholder to cry on, for the whole process is not very pleasent for her.
Visa applications for a lady with children, require her application to be successful. You can then apply for her
children to come as dependents of their mother, providing they are 15 years old or younger. The exact age someone
is consider an adult (16 or 18) depends on which country you are from. A visa application fee is payable for each
child that applies.
Travel Tips
1. With the exception of Latvia and Bulgaria, you'll need a visa stamp in your passport to travel to the country.
This can take a couple of weeks to arrange so don't leave it until the last minute.
2. Print a list of the ladies you intend to meet. You can see all the addresses you've retrieved so far by going
to the members page and clicking on the "recall addresses" button.
3. Take US dollars in cash, as other currencies can be difficult to change, depending on where you are traveling.
Some countries require you to declare the amount of money or valuables you bring in. Keep the customs receipt
or you may not be able to take the money back out of the country.
4. Those coming on tours will have this already arranged for them. If you travel by yourself, please ensure you
have a pre-arranged airport pickup or you'll pay quite a high fee for a taxi from the airport. Arrange to have
someone such as the lady you're meeting to meet you at the airport.
5. When flying to countries other than Russia, don't fly through Moscow as you'll also require a multiple entry
Russian visa in addition to the Belarussian or Ukrainian visa. It's much easier to travel through a European
country or fly directly to your destination. Flights can be booked from most countries via
Expedia UK
and Expedia US.
6. Take a copy of you important documentation, such as your passport and keep it safe. If you intend to apply for
a fiancee visa while to are in the former USSR, make sure you take all the required documentation and envidence
the embassy will ask you to show.
